Jeff C. Peterson CFP®, EA
Jeff joined Financial Planning Unlimited, Inc. in 1994 and has since helped families in every phase of life to make wise financial decisions about their family’s future.
Jeff received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) designation in 1998, and subscribes to and is bound by a very strict professional Code of Ethics. To maintain his CFP® certification, Jeff is required to satisfy the continuing education requirement of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.
He graduated from Arizona State University and received his MBA from the Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management. In 2002, he became an Enrolled Agent with the IRS. He is also a registered representative with Concourse Financial Group Securities, Inc. (CFGS) and investment advisor with Concourse Financial Group Advisors, a DBA for CFGS.
Jeff is an Investment Advisor Representative in the state of Arizona and holds the FINRA Series 7, 24, 63 and 66 through Concourse Financial Group Securities, Inc (CFGS). He is securities-registered in the states of Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
During his spare time, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family. He has been married to Julie since 1995 and they have two grown children. He is also an avid baseball fan and enjoys a good round of golf.
Jeff currently serves as a board member for Lura Turner Homes and is an advocate for Child Crisis Arizona. He is also a current member of the Financial Planning Association and Arizona Association of Accounting & Tax Professionals.
Anissa Storie Notary
Anissa Storie began working for Financial Planning Unlimited, Inc. in September of 2012. In the 25 years prior to joining the firm, Anissa worked with clients in both the private and public sectors. She has experience in various industries including financial, non-profit, real estate, manufacturing, and politics. In addition, while she lived in California, she had a successful computer business.
As Client Care Specialist, Anissa draws upon past work experiences and applies her administrative, marketing and communication skills as she leads the day-to-day operations of the business. Her friendly demeanor can often be heard when answering the phones or scheduling appointments for the office.
Anissa continually expands and updates her knowledge for maintaining the level of service needed to serve clients with asset management, financial planning, insurance, retirement planning and estate planning. She enjoys getting to know each client beyond their financial goals. Additionally, she is a Certified Notary Signing Agent in Arizona.
In her free time, Anissa enjoys an active lifestyle while spending time with family and friends. When she is not reading, cooking or crafting, you can find her outdoors in her garden, hiking or exploring the vast Arizona scenery. She loves volunteering and engaging in her community.
Roni Burke MSA
In 2018, Roni joined Financial Planning Unlimited as an intern for the 2017 tax season. Since then, Roni has become a part of our full-time team. Previously she worked in the Revenue Accounting Department at Costco Wholesale, a Fortune 100 company in Washington State and for a finance and technology start-up in New York City.
Roni grew up in Bellevue, Washington and moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 2015. She graduated from Grand Canyon University with her Bachelors of Science in Accounting in 2018 and her Masters of Science in Accounting in 2019. She is currently pursuing the Series Seven designation and plans to expand her designations further in the future.
During Roni’s time at Grand Canyon University, she developed a passion for helping others achieve their financial and retirement goals. In her current role at Financial Planning Unlimited, Inc., Roni works in various areas of the business including tax preparation, tax planning, estate planning, and assists in putting together financial plans.
When Roni is not in the office, she enjoys golfing, snowboarding, traveling, scuba diving and spending time with family and friends.
Roni is a proud member of Delta Mu Delta Honor Society through Grand Canyon University.
Norman Peterson (1928-2012)
In 1956 Norman Peterson received a degree in economics from Lewis Clark College. After serving in the US Army, Norm worked for Sears for 27 years. In the mid 1970’s he decided to re-educate himself and start a new career.
Norm earned a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) designation and an IRS designation as an Enrolled Agent (EA) and opened Financial Planning Unlimited, Inc. in 1981. He was active in the business working alongside Jeff Peterson before retiring in 2010.
Norm loved to dance, cruise, adventure travel, and work with his clients who became friends. Through the years he earned dozens of accolades. He was a wonderful husband to Betty Peterson in their 52 years of marriage and was a great father to Jeff and Greg. His caring, happy countenance and great smile are greatly missed.
Betty Peterson (1936-2021)
Co-Founder, Betty Peterson, was born in a rural community in Czechoslovakia to a large family of eight children. In 1938, her father moved the family to Canada due to the threat of WWII. Betty always said she had an amazing life, full of adventure and intrigue.
While living in California, she met Norm Peterson and they were married in 1960. They enjoyed a wonderful 52-year marriage which included the blessing of two boys and later, two grandchildren.
Betty attended Scottsdale Community College, graduated with a Design Degree and worked in that field for many years. She retired from Goodman’s Office Furnishings in 1987 and began her journey with Financial Planning Unlimited, Inc. as Director of Goodwill with a focus on Life Insurance and Customer Relations.
Betty loved her family, flowers, painting, travel, many friends and the great outdoors. She is greatly missed. May you embrace each day with as much joy as she did.
